Hi, we’re The Skinners!

While we’ve built a life and spend most of our time in Ontario, the land Huon House sits on has been part of Cory’s family for nearly a century.

It’s now a special retreat for us throughout the year, and we hope you’ll enjoy it, too.

Huon House is a serene oceanside container home situated on the banks of Newfoundland’s West Coast, overlooking the Gulf of St. Lawrence. This remote retreat offers breathtaking ocean views, beautiful sunsets, and modern amenities with a cozy, rustic, minimalist design on land that the same family has cherished for nearly a century. Escape to the rugged coastlines, rich history and vibrant culture of Newfoundland.

We’ve done our best to make the most of the 640 sqft and ensure your comfort while staying with us; some basic guidelines exist, such as a 4-guest maximum, limit to 1 pet (possibly 2 if there are a small breed), and it’s best enjoyed with children who have already transitioned out of cribs/playpens/bassinets.
